Gustav Ecke's book on measured drawings of Chinese furniture has a great shot of a horsehoof leg. It is the frontispiece before the Plates section. I referenced this to make a template, cut it out, and traced it on 5/4" oak stock. With a belt/disk sander, spindle sander and band saw, I shaped these legs. They will be the four posts connecting the sides of a small wooden box.
