Fill Knot Holes in Walnut with Black-Tinted Epoxy

 A couple drops of black shoe dye works great.

 When dry, plane flush.

Note: The pigment in Transfast water-soluble dye doesn't dissolve in epoxy.  I haven't yet tried the liquid Transfast dye but I imagine it will work fine.
