Better Dust Collection for Disc/Belt Sander and Small Bandsaw

  I used to have this ridiculously jury-rigged contraption hooked-up to my disc/belt sander and small bandsaw.

 I recently re-worked it making it a lot more streamlined and stable.

 Here is a shot of the 4" hose reduced to 2 1/2" for the sander.

 Here is the mount for the blast gate.

Here is a close-up of a portion of the ducting that is attached to the wall.

 

 The cart holding the sander sometimes needs to be rolled forward, so I later swapped out the fixed-length hose for a retractable one (as well as a coiled cord that is connected to the microswitch on the blast gate.)
